Naveen K. Jain
Naveen K. Jain is the founder and chief executive officer of Intelius, one of the fastest-growing private firms in the United States (according to Inc. Magazine). Formerly, he was the CEO of InfoSpace, which he founded in 1996 to become one of the most profitable dot-coms in history.
Naveen Jain was born and raised in India, but he immigrated to the United States in 1979, getting a job at Burroughs Corporation soon thereafter. He is an Albert Einstein Technology medalist and a finalist for the 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year award by Ernst & Young.
He fathers three children, whom he raises with his wife Anu. She currently serves as Vice-President for Community Relations at Intelius.
Intelius was established in 2003 in Bellevue, Washington, like InfoSpace. Unlike the other however, Intelius sells background reports, identity theft protection products, and services made with records and data obtained from public agencies. In turn, the company runs criminal checks, people searches, reverse phone lookups, and employment screenings, to name a few services.
This firm took home the award for Best New Company in the 2006 Stevies. Intelius.com, meanwhile, was regarded by comScore as one of the 100 most highly trafficked websites.
Judging from its revenue growth since 2003, Intelius is one of the fastest-growing private technological firms in North America, according to Deloitte & Touche. So far it has served more than eight million users.
Mr. Naveen Jain is an engineering graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee, India, and a master’s degree holder from the Xavier Labour Relations Institute in Jamshedpur. He worked in Microsoft Corporation from June 1989 until March 1996, around the time he diverted his energies to InfoSpace.
InfoSpace traded content solutions for various web properties, notable among them Lycos, America Online, MSN, and Snap. At its peak, the company drove over 20 acquisitions, still a feat by Wall Street standards. With this company, Naveen Jain ranked highly on the Forbes 400.
